All good things come to an end, right? The progress I made in the past 13 days have been incredible. Coming here I was barely able to stay awake for an hour or even get around without a wheelchair. I left Santa Clara Valley Medical Center without a wheelchair and without a walker. Believe that putting your mind and heart behind something will always bring fruitful results. I am now onto the next step of my journey. I am slowly adapting back to real life one step at a time. I am glad that I don't have to stick to hospital food anymore, not that it was bad, but having options other than cafeteria style meals is always a plus. Well here is a picture blog of my first day out. I will be starting another rehab session soon and cannot wait, until then hope to see many familiar faces during my time off and take care of yourselves.

Last meal at the hospital.

Taking down my wonderful cards from my wonderful loved ones.

My fun-filled wall.

These will go into my personal collection.

Packing my bags, unfortunately not for a jet plane.

It is nice sitting shotgun and not having to drive.

My first meal out: Beef Noodle Soup. I had the option of American vs Chinese. Rice vs Noodles. Wonton vs. Pickeled Cabbage vs. Beef.

Getting some groceries for my upcoming meals. It was hot out today, don't ask why I still have my sweater on.

Oranges for my morning juice.

Picking up my medicine at CVS.

I helped cook my dinner!

Buying some essentials at Target.

Had to get cleaned up. Got a hair cut from: Kathleen from Academy for Salon Professionals. She comes highly recommended, feel free to contact her for a cut, color and more: Fan Page

Doing what I do best. Eating lean turkey spaghetti, drinking oj and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder get one step closer to that beloved ring.

I love my desserts, but trying to stay healthy at the same time.

This is what I look like after an afternoon of shopping. Passed out on my new Sleep Number.

That is all for now. I will definitely have a lot more updates in the upcoming weeks as we will be going around town.

My last speech therapy class. That is medication.

Analog clocks? Easy.

Typing my own name.

Have to practice bowing, right?

My sons asked me to doing do a fake happy face. =)

Then they asked me to do a fake scary face. [Editor's note: This is now my favorite picture.]

Thomas and I catching some sun on a holiday.

I love me some bacon.

I managed to walk from my room to Mcdonald's on Bascom. Then back to my room.

I pick out my own clothes now. =)

Happy Memorial Day. Thank you.

Lunch with the family.

Time to get low.

Stretch it out.

William came to visit.

I could easily pass a sobriety test. Walking in a straight line is easy.

Getting my muscles loose.

They've been working my legs recently.

I am good at answering questions.

Hope everyone has a great long weekend.

I took them to the second floor today.

I love getting stretched out.

Pat made me an obstacle course to walk around. =) It was too easy.

My former Seagate colleagues [minus Susan] came to visit me after lunch.

What is that? I have never played soccer before.

My PT says I am a natural. Check out my video!

This is my first time playing soccer with my son. Basketball, yep. Baseball, yep. Soccer, now yep.

Stairs? No big deal.

Today was a little different. Instead of having my OT help me with a shower and get my day started. I took this vision test. It was pretty cool. They had this board with a bunch of lights and they would pop up etc. I would have to name the color when it came on. I did ok on it, I need to work on the right side of my vision, but it is ok. I have a great start. I did some walking and some stretching. For lunch, I ate every single bite of my pasta and meatballs. =) It was delicious. Off to a quick nap then some speech and physical therapy.

I have to represent BAY MEADOWS!

This is that vision test I was talking about earlier.

I did my own laundry.

I am walking so well, they are trying to slow me down with weights now. Jk, those are to help me balance my right foot. =)

I can multi task. I am walking and clapping at the same time.

My PT decided it was a nice day for a stroll on the patio.

Today will be a nice picture day. I took a shower this morning and I got to pick out my own outfit. I did some fun physical stuff and had 2 visitors. I am now taking a 15 minute break before speech. Here are some photos and videos.

This is my son's favorite picture of me. I don't know why. Could it be the Warrior's shirt? Could it be because I look like I tied myself to my chair? I don't know. =)

Thinking hard.

First cup of coffee in forever.

Picking out my outfit!

Look at me move that big piece of furniture. It was fun!

My PT decided it would be nice for me to take a walk outside!

I feel like an NBA star getting my legs stretched.

Good morning world. I had some breakfast and shaved myself for the first time in over a month! It felt pretty good. I look clean again and like a little kid. Here are some pictures from yesterday and this morning. Enjoy!

I am jumping the orange line!

Spaghetti and broccoli for lunch. Not a bad day.
