Today was quite a great day. I walked one time down the parallel bars and then Payal [my PT] asked if I would like to walk on the walker. Everyone was excited for me and I figured, "Why not?" I stood up swiftly and started going at it. Words aren't as descriptive as video, so feel free to press play above.

I went a total of 16 feet and took a break. Then my speech therapist ran out and saw that I was getting a good workout and asked for me to save some energy for my swallow test. This sounds fun, I get to drink or eat something for the first time in four weeks. We go into the Radiology room and they have a continuous X-Ray set on my throat. I am then asked to drink this white, milky, liquid. It tasted kind of weird and it was crazy because I could see myself swallow it and it go down my throat on the TV screen. I passed! I am now permitted to eat ice chips. I am going to start that tomorrow, or at least that is what I was told. I am quite excited to go to my new facility in Santa Clara. I just have to rest up and be ready to work my butt off...Goodnight.
