What a good rest. Today I was able to stand for the first time since April 17th. The PT had me put my hands on a parallel bars and I was able to stand with some help. It was about 50/50 between me and the PT. It was quite a great feeling. I did it three times today. I also did a little biking to keep my legs strong, we did that for about 15 minutes. Boy was I getting tired. I was then handed a wash cloth and I tried to wash my own face. It was a new and different feeling, but soon I will be able to. I was also asked to pick between a fork and spoon, I am slowly getting it, but it will take time. I will keep on working hard.

That hour took a lot out of me. I was knocked out in my bed for the next couple of hours. I had some great visitors from Seagate and was able to open my eyes to see them. I am sorry I was not able to say much, but don't you worry. I will be able to have lunch and hours of conversation with you guys soon.

I am figuring out my body as I slowly go through this process. Today I kept stretching my neck, by turning my head left to right and right to left. I did this for about 10 minutes or so on my own. Then I wanted to stretch my legs out too, so I brought my knees towards my chest over and over again. These new activities feel good and I will try to remember to continue to do them as it will help my recovery.

"Temperature...temperature..." I told Pat. He then reassured me that he would adjust the temperature to my liking. I nodded when he adjusted it. But for some reason I am a bit cold now. I whispered to him "COLD" and he proceeded to put a blanket on me and now I am off to dream land. Goodnight.
