All good things come to an end, right? The progress I made in the past 13 days have been incredible. Coming here I was barely able to stay awake for an hour or even get around without a wheelchair. I left Santa Clara Valley Medical Center without a wheelchair and without a walker. Believe that putting your mind and heart behind something will always bring fruitful results. I am now onto the next step of my journey. I am slowly adapting back to real life one step at a time. I am glad that I don't have to stick to hospital food anymore, not that it was bad, but having options other than cafeteria style meals is always a plus. Well here is a picture blog of my first day out. I will be starting another rehab session soon and cannot wait, until then hope to see many familiar faces during my time off and take care of yourselves.
Last meal at the hospital.
Taking down my wonderful cards from my wonderful loved ones.
My fun-filled wall.
These will go into my personal collection.
Packing my bags, unfortunately not for a jet plane.
It is nice sitting shotgun and not having to drive.
My first meal out: Beef Noodle Soup. I had the option of American vs Chinese. Rice vs Noodles. Wonton vs. Pickeled Cabbage vs. Beef.
Getting some groceries for my upcoming meals. It was hot out today, don't ask why I still have my sweater on.
Oranges for my morning juice.
Picking up my medicine at CVS.
I helped cook my dinner!
Buying some essentials at Target.
Had to get cleaned up. Got a hair cut from: Kathleen from Academy for Salon Professionals. She comes highly recommended, feel free to contact her for a cut, color and more: Fan Page
Doing what I do best. Eating lean turkey spaghetti, drinking oj and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder get one step closer to that beloved ring.
I love my desserts, but trying to stay healthy at the same time.
This is what I look like after an afternoon of shopping. Passed out on my new Sleep Number.
